Day of show

Thank you for your interest in the 22nd Annual Quiet Water Symposium.  I wanted to address a few important “housekeeping” items with you.

Set up
Exhibitors are encouraged to set up on Friday, March 3, (2:00 to 7:00 PM), if possible this is your preferred option.  Saturday morning set-up is also available from 7:30 to 8:30 AM.  If you chose to set up on Saturday, please be courteous and unload your vehicle quickly, park it in the exhibitor parking lot and then complete your booth set up.  No vehicles will be allowed on the floor after the gates open to general admission.

Exhibitors are requested to enter on the east side of the Pavilion off Farm Lane.  There are three overhead doors on the east side of the Pavilion. Please enter through the one that is farthest to the south (there will be signs).  Just inside the large overhead door, you will find the Exhibitor Check-in Station.  There you will be directed to your exhibit location.  You will be assisted in either driving to or carrying your exhibit and materials to the proper location.  Please be courteous to others by not blocking the aisles longer than necessary and by minimizing your trips in and out.

Parking
Parking for exhibitors will be available east of the arena in the lot just across Farm Lane.  Please use this lot for all of your vehicles.  The guest parking lots on the north, west and south sides of the pavilion often fill up early.  There will be a free shuttle bus on Saturday from the Pavilion to the commuter lot on the northwest corner of Farm Lane and Mt. Hope. (Thank you to Tom Funke from Trailspotters of Michigan for providing the shuttle service.)

After 9:00 AM on Saturday the east and south side entries of the exhibit hall will be closed and all entry must be made through the north or front doors of the Pavilion.

Booth Staff
Please remember each exhibitor is allowed six (6) free admissions for preregistered booth workers.  Additional staffers will need to enter and pay the regular admission price unless previous arrangements have been made.  If your preregistered staff members arrive late, they should check in at the “Volunteer Check-in” table in the front lobby.  There will be no entry without a hand stamp.

Food
In the Pavilion lobby, the MSU Concession will be open until 4:30 PM the day of the show.  We have been assured by the University that it will be adequately staffed this year to shorten wait time.  If you wish to bring your own personal drinks and food, please feel free to do so but keep them in your booth area.

Restrooms
Restrooms are located in the exhibit hall exit ramp on the north side of the exhibit hall and also in the northeast corner of the exhibit hall area.

Seminars
Exhibitors are welcome to attend any of the seminars or demonstrations.

Tear Down
The symposium runs until 5:30 PM on Saturday. We ask that you respect our guests and remain at your booth until this time. The safety of our guests and participants preclude us from allowing vehicles onto the show floor until after this time. If there is a need to leave before 5:30 PM, please contact the show staff and they will attempt to assist you.

Accommodations and Food
If you decide to stay over on Friday or Saturday, here are a few links that might help you out.
Dining: http://www.lansing.org/restaurants/

Accommodations:
We have an agreement and negotiated rate at the Candlewood Suites for your convenience.  If they do not sell out and you do this prior to February 2, 2017, you can reserve a studio for $86.00 per night   http://cwsuites.com/

On behalf of the Quiet Water Society and myself, thank you for participating.  Without your attendance, we could not make the Quiet Water Symposium happen or even dream of achieving our mission.

Sincerely,
